Education

I earned my BA and MD degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed my general psychiatry residency training and Anxiety Disorders Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.  I am Board Certified in General and Addiction Psychiatry and previously Board Certified in Geriatric Psychiatry.

Work Experience

I have been in private practice in Charlotte sine 1990. I enjoyed my first 18 years at Eastover Psychological and Psychiatric Group and since 2008 in solo private practice.   Although I have worked for many years in hospital and outpatient settings, I currently limit my private practice to adult outpatients only.

In addition, I currently serve as the Medical Director for Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center.

I am a Fellow with the American Psychiatric Association.
